IV. Alternative Processing.

Digital Plastic Exploration.

This project was a series of three individual pieces curated together to become one.  I designed a collage made from gelatin silver print cutouts.  I then created abstract gelatin silver prints by using ceran wrap, ink and water.  I layered the ceran wrap at different height levels to add depth to the prints.  Lastly, I coated tile pieces in a light sensitive chemical in the darkroom to transform the tiles into light a sensitive material.  Then I printed the nude forms onto the tiles.  The nature of this alternative chemical process revealed an abstract texture with forms of the nude showing through.

In an effort to continue my interests in the material plastic, I did a digital shoot with ceran wrap and multi colored lights.  I would like to continue this working with this material and explore how it manifests itself in different ways and how it interacts with the body.
